Brenda Burnett has worked in the escrow industry for more than twenty five years. She is the President and co-founder of Coast to Coast Escrow Services, Inc. with Bernie Selz and Kip Kennedy.

Prior to that, Brenda worked with her father, Bernie Selz, at TMC Escrow Company (which later was acquired by Investors Title Company) for approximately fifteen years, until Bernie retired.

In 2001, she opened an Escrow Branch of a local title company. In 2003, she was contacted by a major title company in Northern California to open their Orange County operations. She successfully managed their Newport Beach Branch for three years until January of 2006, when she formed Coast to Coast Escrow Services, Inc.

Brenda's expertise is in commercial, industrial, subdivision and business opportunity transactions. She is also highly skilled in Tenant in Common Investments, 1031 simultaneous exchanges and various unique and complicated transactions. She is adamant about keeping informed on current regulations and market trends. Brenda and her staff are members of the Orange Escrow Association and California Escrow Association and regularly attend meetings and educational conferences. She is committed to providing educational opportunities within the company to ensure that the highest standard of ethics and quality of service is maintained.

Bernard F. "Bernie" Selz

Bernie began his career at First American Title Company in 1961, where he worked his way from customer service and searching to a title officer and eventually moved to the escrow division.

From there, he worked for Sherwood Escrow and Realty Escrow, opening and managing various branches until 1977, when he joined TMC Escrow Company as their Vice President, branch manager, advisory escrow officer and internal auditor.  In 1994, Investors Title Company acquired all 27 branches of TMC Escrow Company at which time Bernie also became the county manager of the title division.

From 1985 to 1997, Bernie also co-owned, with a major new home developer, an independent escrow company. During this time, he was appointed a member of the Corporation Commissioners Escrow Advisory Board and was elected by the Independent Escrow Owners to the board of directors of the Escrow Agents Fidelity Corporation and eventually elected chairman thereof.

Bernie was the President and Chief Operating Officer of TMC Exchange Services and PBBS Enterprises, Inc., both early accommodator companies for principals in delayed tax deferred 1031 exchanges.

The California Escrow Association deemed him as a Certified Senior Escrow Officer and and for several years he was a licensed real estate agent. He was a member of the Orange County Escrow Association and the California Escrow Association and on the Board of Directors in the late 60's and early 70's

Bernie's presence at Coast to Coast Escrow Services Inc. is highly beneficial. Our daily operations are greatly enhanced by his knowledge of the industry in its entirety.
